Free legal advice available in Põhja-Tallinn and Kristiine in May
The City of Tallinn offers residents free legal consultations, which take place in each city district according to a set schedule. The next consultation days will be held on 8 May at the Põhja-Tallinn District Government and 29 May at the Kristiine District Government, both from 9:00 to 13:00.
Tallinn to offer free legal counselling on 20 dates this year
The City of Tallinn will once again offer free legal counselling to residents in 2025, with consultation days scheduled in each city district. The next counselling sessions will take place on 19 March from 9:00–13:00 at the Põhja-Tallinn District Government and on 21 March from 9:00–13:00 at the City Centre Social Centre.
On Museum Sunday, you can visit the Contemporary Art Museum of Estonia again
This Sunday, 7 May, the Contemporary Art Museum of Estonia will again participate in a free of charge Museum Sunday after being closed for the winter season. Due to construction works and various events, the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds Visitor Centre will not take part in the Museum Sundays until August.
Tallinn residents can once again drop off bulky waste for free
Next week, from 21-27 August, people residing in Tallinn according to the population register can drop off bulky waste, such as unusable furniture, bicycles and baby prams, at the city's waste transfer stations for free.
Free legal advice available in English
Since March, Tallinn has offered free legal advice to residents in every district. The last consultation days for this year will be held on Thursday, October 26 from 9 am to 5 pm at the Tallinna Kesklinna Sotsiaalkeskus (Social Center in Kesklinn) and on Tuesday, November 14 from 9 am to 5 pm at the Pirita District Administration.
Free large waste disposal: November 20-26 for all residents
From November 20 to 26, the fourth annual large waste disposal campaign of the year will take place. Residents of Tallinn can dispose of their large waste items free of charge at local waste treatment plants.
Nearly seven times more large waste brought during campaign week
During this year's final free large waste disposal week from November 20-26, Tallinn's waste treatment plants received seven times more large waste than in a typical week of November. Throughout the year, residents brought a total of 5,592.17 cubic meters of waste to the waste treatment plants, equivalent to approximately 70 truckloads of large waste.
Montpellier adopts free public transport following Tallinn's example
As of yesterday, the city of Montpellier in Southern France has fully transitioned to free public transport, inspired by the model implemented in Tallinn. Prior to this change, thorough research was conducted on Tallinn's experience with the system.
Tallinn offers free legal advice consultations
This year, Tallinn is providing residents with free legal advice during 17 consultation days scheduled across all districts. In February, consultation days are on the 22nd, from 2 pm to 6 pm at the Nõmme District Government and on the 29th, from 9 am to 2 pm at the Haabersti District Government.
