As the European Capital of Sport, Tallinn will host the world’s largest multi-sport event for 12–15-year-olds from 4–7 August. The competition brings together delegations from cities across the globe.

To ensure the smooth organization of the XXVIII Song and XXI Dance Celebration “Iseoma” next week, the City of Tallinn is implementing several temporary changes to traffic and public transportation to ensure safe and convenient movement for participants and guests. The main impacts on traffic will be caused by the procession, dance performances, and concerts at the Song Festival Grounds. In preparation for the XXVIII Song and XXI Dance Celebration 'Iseoma', the city is implementing several changes to traffic and public transport arrangements to guarantee a safe and convenient experience for all participants.

At today’s meeting, Tallinn Electoral Committee confirmed the voting results of City Council elections.

During the 13th Youth Song and Dance Festival from 30 June to 2 July, the city of Tallinn will have special buses leaving the city centre, make some public transport lines run more frequently and create designated parking areas for bicycles and scooters. Tallinn’s public transport is free for all passengers during the big celebration – from 30 June to 2 July.

At the Tallinn Entrepreneurship Awards gala held at the Seaplane Harbour (Lennusadam) yesterday, the awards for the Best Development Project, Collaboration Project, Bright Newcomer, Tourism Achievement, Job Creator, Solution of the Future, and Eco-Innovation of the year were announced, alongside awards for the best applied research projects.

This year, in the last round of non-profit sports grants, Tallinn will allocate just over 31,000 euros to 31 local sports projects.

All residents are invited to participate in the voting for Tallinn's best athlete and team of the year 2023.

This year in Tallinn, 11 streets, a lake, and a harbor received new names. The naming commission, following established practices, preferred historical and culturally significant names.
