Tallinn donates former mobile library bus to Kharkiv Scientific Library in Ukraine
The Tallinn City Government has decided to donate an unused mobile library bus from the Tallinn Central Library to Ukraine as humanitarian aid and will cover transportation costs up to €7,000.
Ghetto Games to gather participants from over 10 countries in Tallinn
Europe’s leading street sports and culture platform “Ghetto Games” invites everyone to experience the most athletic festival of the summer in Estonia’s capital, Tallinn, on July 12–13. For two days, Freedom Square in the city center will be transformed into a vibrant arena for street basketball, street football, dance and fight shows, as well as contests and various activities. The festival is organized in collaboration with the Tallinn City Government and will bring together participants from over 10 countries.

Sea party Sail Tallinn offers a spectacle both on land and at sea
At the end of this week, 16-18 July, the most magnificent Estonian sea party will take place in the Old City Harbour cruise area, Patarei sea fortress, Seaplane Harbour and the Noblessner seafront quarter, where artists from Estonia and the rest of the world will provide entertainment on land and at sea. Outdoor cafes, children's areas, a design street are open on the occasion and a sea taxi will provide transport from harbour to harbour.

Tallinn Day celebrates the acquisition of Lübeck city rights in 1248, which included Tallinn as a member of the Union of European Cities. On Monday, 15 May, Tallinn will be 775 years old. The birthday events will begin on 14 May, when Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas and Tallinn Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart will open the Short Leg Gate.

Tallinn Maritime Days to take programme to sea more than before
Today, Estonia’s largest maritime and family event published its programme. From 14-16 July, three of the capital’s ports (Vanasadam cruise area, Lennusadam and Noblessner harbour campus) will be hosting a densely packed cultural programme and many maritime activities.
Tallinn set to host 2025 International Children's Games
Tallinn has been selected as the host city for the 2025 International Children's Games that takes place under the auspices of the International Olympic Committee. Last week, Igor Topole, President of the International Children’s Games, and Secretary General Hugh Waters, visited Tallinn to inspect its sports infrastructure and met with city leaders to discuss the details of organizing the event.
