The Tallinn City Government has submitted the city’s 2025 supplementary budget proposal to the City Council, which would increase the total city budget by approximately €8.2 million. If adopted, the revised budget for 2025 will amount to €1.3 billion.

Today, representatives of Tallinn, Riga, and Vilnius gathered to discuss how the capitals of the Baltic states are working to ensure the safety of their residents. The meeting concluded with the signing of a memorandum of understanding that lays the foundation for future cooperation between the three capitals in crisis preparedness.

This year marks the 777th anniversary of the day Tallinn received Lübeck city rights. This important historical milestone will be celebrated for the 24th time with Tallinn Day, taking place from 12–18 May. A full week of events and activities awaits all residents and visitors.

On the weekends of 10–11 May and 17–18 May, the City of Tallinn will once again organise collection rounds for hazardous household waste and reusable items. Today, 6 December, a new landmark was officially opened in Jaan Poska Street in Kadriorg, Tallinn – the oldest concrete electric pole in Estonia, which was renovated in cooperation between the power company Elektrilevi and the City of Tallinn, installed in a new location and now also equipped with an information board.

One of the main objectives for Tallinn city budget for 2022 is a comfortable and safe urban space, which includes investment in cycle paths and making streets more pedestrian-friendly. Two new green corridors will also be launched.

Tallinn aims to create a continuous, almost nine-kilometer-long park area on the limestone strip in Lasnamäe.
