The Tallinn City Government has submitted the detailed plan for the western part of the historic Kopli liinid (Kopli Lines) to the City Council for adoption.

From October onwards, Tallinn Zoo and Tallinn Botanical Garden will join the Museum Sundays programme. This pilot project will run until the end of 2025, after which its impact and visitor feedback will be assessed to decide on the next steps.

This autumn, the City of Tallinn and the FinEst Centre for Smart Cities have launched a pilot project in which city buses and waste collection vehicles will begin detecting damaged or missing traffic signs. Smart sensors, or cameras, installed on the vehicles will transmit real-time information to the city about the condition of traffic signs.

Starting from 1 October 2025, the structure of the Tallinn Strategic Management Centre’s Business Services Department will be reformed. The existing Business Centre and Consumer Protection Division will be replaced by two new units: the Department of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Department of International Economic Partnerships.

The Tallinn Transport Department, in cooperation with the Integration Foundation, has launched the campaign “Learn Estonian on the go!”, bringing language learning into everyday travel. For just over a month, simple language tips and illustrations will be displayed on public transport and at stops.

The Swedbank Tallinn Marathon and Tallinna Sügisjooks (Autumn Run) will take place on the weekend of 13–14 September, bringing tens of thousands of running enthusiasts to the districts of Põhja-Tallinn, Kesklinn, and Haabersti. As a result, there will be temporary changes to traffic and public transport.

Today, the SA Tallinna Haigla Arendus signed a contract with the joint bidders Osaühing Sirkel ja Mall and INDUSTRIA PROJECT Sp. z o.o. to start preparing the main design project for the future Tallinn Hospital medical campus.

Tallinn Mayor Jevgeni Ossinovski met yesterday with Halyna Shymanska, Acting Mayor of Zhytomyr, and Valentyn Arendarchuk, Head of the city's Department of Education. The meeting took place as part of an educational visit from Zhytomyr, during which cooperation between the cities in the field of education was discussed.

On the evening of 7 September, the high-speed catamaran Vegtind serving the Aegna line ran aground near Kalaranna, reportedly due to a technical malfunction. Until the end of the season, the line will be served by the replacement vessel Strande.
