The City of Tallinn offers residents free legal consultations, which take place in each city district according to a set schedule. The next consultation days will be held on 8 May at the Põhja-Tallinn District Government and 29 May at the Kristiine District Government, both from 9:00 to 13:00.
Starting on 21 April 2025, the City of Tallinn will begin works to remove a Soviet decorative emblem from the façade of the Russian Cultural Centre (Mere puiestee 5). The removal is based on the city government’s coalition agreement and a structural safety assessment.
Starting today, 22 April, property owners in Tallinn can begin submitting applications for compensation related to the 2025 land tax increase. The first to be processed will be applications from those whose land tax is up to €100 and who have already paid the full amount. Those whose land tax exceeds €100 — with the second installment due on 1 October — have time to apply, as their applications will be processed starting from 2 October.
Applications for benefits to mitigate the rise in electricity, gas and district heating costs in Tallinn will be accepted from mid-January at the latest.
From Friday to Sunday, October 15 to 17, you can cast your vote in for the Tallinn City Council in the polling stations of your district of residence. There are a total of 95 polling places open.
By Tuesday evening, 15,922 voters had cast their votes in Tallinn polling places, which is a little over half of the people who had voted in polling places all over Estonia.
From Monday, October 11, to Thursday, October 14, you can vote in the local elections at thirty-one polling places in Tallinn, regardless of your place of residence. In addition to polling places open indoors, you can also vote in polling places set up in outdoor tents. Proof of vaccination is not required at voting.
The call for proposals for the Tallinn's second participatory budget 2022 was a success - the people of Tallinn submitted a total of 389 ideas for promoting city life. The largest number of proposals was submitted for developing the urban environment.
