Starting next Monday, 14 June, and lasting until the end of August, 18 school stadiums will be open to the public in Tallinn for sports.

The City Government has approved the detailed planning for properties located in Põhja-Tallinn at Telliskivi Street 62 and 64, at A. Adamson Street 12 in the city centre, along with adjacent properties at Kevade Street 8. Additionally, the detailed planning for properties at Apteegi Street 3, 5, 7, and 9 was initiated.

The Tallinn City Government plans to allocate more than 8.8 million euros in 2024 to support the transition to Estonian-language education. The measures include teacher training, recruitment of new teachers, methodological and motivational support for teachers, assistance for children transitioning to Estonian-language education, support and counseling for both parents and teachers, and the creation of an online learning environment.

Since opening in mid-November, Tallinn's ice rinks have already welcomed over 20,000 visitors within three weeks. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the winter season at Tallinn's ice rinks – local schools can organize free skating sessions, and seniors have special times set aside for complimentary visits.

Tallinn's open-air ice rinks are set to open in mid-November. Mustamäe and Lasnamäe rinks will open on November 11, Nõmme and Old Town rinks on November 18. Schools can schedule free sessions on the rinks, and seniors are offered complimentary access.

During the last two weekends of August - August 21 to 22, and August 27 to 29 - Tallinn will organize vaccination against COVID-19 in schools. Students aged 12-18, their families, but also other residents are expected to get vaccinated. There is no need to pre-register for vaccination in schools.

As part of a charity campaign that took place throughout September, 75 schools across Estonia, including 8 Tallinn schools, received slacklines to promote physical activity among students.

Over the coming weekend, on October 9 and 10, vaccination is again organized in Tallinn schools. One school is open for vaccination on Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm and seven schools are open from 10 am to 6 pm, and in two schools, one can be vaccinated on Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm. Everyone from the age of 12 are welcome to get vaccinated without pre-registration.

Due to the Tallinn Open Triathlon that will be held in the vicinity of Lake Harku, the section of Paldiski Road from the shore of Lake Harku (Paldiski Road 124a) up to the city limit will be closed on Sunday, 24 July from 9.30 am to 5.50 pm. At the same time, the trajectory of the bus lines 27, 36, 61 and 62 will change from 10 am to 6 pm.

Every summer, Tallinn renews the road markings around educational institutions to make children's journeys to school or kindergarten safer and drivers more attentive to small pedestrians. This summer, 324 pedestrian crossings around schools and 413 around kindergartens were updated, and on 1 September, police and municipal police officers will also help to ensure safety.
