From September 14th to 16th, Tallinn's parks and the historic Old Town will come alive with a mesmerizing display of lights as the "Light Walks" festival returns for the 19th time. The theme of this year's outdoor light festival is "Colors of the Dark."

Tallinn City Government has submitted the draft of the city's second supplementary budget for 2023 to the City Council, which specifies budgeted revenues, expenditures, investments, and financing transactions. The largest growth in expenses is planned in the fields of education and roads and streets.

From September 18th to October 8th, all residents of Tallinn have the opportunity to submit proposals for projects that could be implemented in the city's public spaces next year through the participatory budget.

The Tallinn City Government submitted a draft of the third supplementary budget of 2023 to the city council. According to the draft, the city budget will increase by 46.5 million euros. Should the draft be adopted, the final budget for 2023 will be 1.18 billion euros.

The Tallinn City Government has submitted a budget proposal for 2024 to the City Council, totaling 1.26 billion euros, marking an increase of 79.5 million euros or 6.7 percent compared to the revised 2023 budget.

Tallinn's 2024 participatory budgeting vote continues for four more days, with the deadline for casting votes being midnight on Sunday, December 3. As of today, approximately 5,430 Tallinn residents have already voted for their favorite projects.
